Colorado Springs, Colorado, April 26, 2017 – Protocol Insight announces an agreement with Teledyne LeCroy to jointly develop and supply protocol debug and compliance solutions for the next generation of UFS/UniPro devices utilizing Protocol Insight’s UFS/UniPro exerciser/analyzer technology.
Universal Flash Storage (UFS) is a significant advancement in flash memory technology, and is being adopted for mobile applications requiring very high-speed memory access. It provides more than five times faster sequential read performance compared to that of a typical microSD card, and 350 times higher random IOP write speed and twice the sequential write speed. This makes UFS the perfect solution for applications requiring fast read and write times such as digital photography, video streaming and mobile gaming. And with the upcoming migration of UFS devices from Gear3 at 5.9Gbps to Gear4 at 11.8Gbps the performance advantage will become even greater.
By leveraging the expertise from both companies Protocol Insight and Teledyne LeCroy will provide a comprehensive solution for testing the next generation of UniPro/UFS devices, allowing device designers and developers the ability to not only diagnose problems in their designs but to conduct conformance, compliance, margin and stress testing.
